Building on the legacy of the record-breaking S550 supercharger lineup, the Gen 6 represents a significant leap in efficiency, power output, and reliability, becoming the most potent and sophisticated system available for 50-state legal performance.

The Gen 6 supercharger introduces all-new bearings, gears, rotors, and housing designs to reduce friction, increase airflow, and produce unprecedented power levels across the entire RPM range. Its cutting-edge rotor geometry features a novel 3/4 rotor combination with a 285-degree helix angle, redesigned bell-mouth inlet, optimized discharge port, and a refined diameter-to-length ratio for maximum peak efficiency.

Depending on the configuration, the Whipple Gen 6 system delivers up to 765–825 flywheel horsepower and 640–655 lb-ft of torque, meeting strict emissions regulations across all 50 states while providing instantaneous throttle response and unmatched drivability.

To support these power levels, Whipple equips the system with a newly designed dual-core, dual-pass intercooler, engineered to surpass even Cobra Jet and previous S550 intercooler performance. Combined with a leading-edge heat exchanger, water reservoir, and intercooler pump, the Gen 6 maintains optimal temperature stability and rapid recovery during demanding driving conditions.

Whipple’s bespoke PCM calibration utilizes decades of OEM and competitive racing insights. This calibration precisely manages fuel delivery, spark timing, knock control, torque management, transmission control, and electronic throttle regulation. The software continuously monitors and adjusts torque for maximum performance and durability, and when paired with the HP Tuners RTD flash tool, provides unmatched control and update flexibility.

Each complete Whipple system includes an IAT2 harness and sensor to accurately measure post-intercooler temperature changes. The system’s robust 6-rib billet idler setup, billet spring-loaded tensioner, billet idler pulleys, and lightweight pocketed supercharger pulley are all engineered for durability and smooth operation. The system can also be upgraded to a 10-rib configuration when higher boost levels are desired.

An adjustable idler pulley allows easy accommodation of varying supercharger pulley sizes with minimal belt adjustments. The expanded inlet system supports multiple throttle body options—from the standard 80mm to the larger 132mm and 150mm oval throttle bodies—maximizing airflow potential.
