Whipple Superchargers has once again pushed the limits of performance with the groundbreaking Gen 6 3.0L front-feed twin-screw supercharger system for the 2022–2023 Mustang Mach 1. Building on the proven success of the record-setting S550 supercharger lineup, the Gen 6 system brings unmatched efficiency, power delivery, and reliability—delivering up to 765–825 flywheel horsepower and 640–655 lb-ft of torque, all while meeting stringent 50-state emissions regulations.

At the heart of this system is Whipple’s most advanced rotor and case design ever produced. The Gen 6 introduces all-new bearings, gears, rotors, and housing innovations to reduce friction, improve airflow, and deliver unprecedented power across the entire rev range. The cutting-edge rotor geometry features a 3/4 rotor combination, a 285-degree helix angle for superior airflow, a redesigned bell-mouth inlet, optimized discharge port, and a refined diameter-to-length ratio engineered for peak efficiency.

To support these extreme power levels, the supercharger is paired with an all-new patented dual-core, dual-pass intercooler—surpassing even Ford Cobra Jet and previous S550 Whipple intercooler systems. Alongside a high-capacity heat exchanger, upgraded water reservoir, and dedicated intercooler pump, the Mach 1 system provides exceptional temperature control and rapid recovery during demanding driving.

Whipple’s custom PCM calibration protocol is built from decades of OEM and motorsports experience. This calibration precisely adjusts critical engine parameters including fuel delivery, spark timing, knock control, torque management, electronic throttle control, and transmission logic. The vehicle’s PCM continuously monitors and adjusts torque output to maintain maximum performance and reliability. When paired with the HP Tuners RTD flash tool, users gain unmatched control, flexibility, and update capability.

An adjustable idler pulley allows the use of various supercharger pulley sizes while maintaining ideal belt tension.
